This season, the Loro Piana Spring/Summer 2025 Collection narrates a new era in the Maison’s celebration of 100 years of history and heritage that revolves around linen, the essence of summer and synonymous with ease, lightness, and effortlessness. The most essential part of this house is fabric. Fabric for LR is created to withstand through the ages, showing both a contemporary and a more vintage vibe. Every aspect of their clothes comes from the everyday life.

Through a distinctive, 100-years-old savoir-faire and a personal sense of elegance, the brand invests in exquisite heirloom fibers, such as Cashmere, Silk and Sopra Visso wool.

An immersive installation at Palazzo Belgioioso was the venue of the presentation. Starting with ‘All About Linen’, a room dedicated to the noble fibre. Loro Piana unveils the full-range Collection in rooms decorated with natural earth tones and a mix of wall-to-floor jute upholstery with wood and printed panels, seamlessly blending in with the season’s mood. Interspersed throughout the entire collection are artworks by artist Adriana Meunié, where linen is explored in its rawest, purest form and elevated to an art form. Through her artworks, Meunié captures a new way of exposing linen, and expresses what this fibre can become with distinct craft and a unique vision, each piece revealing how it moves, transforms, and evolves. Her monumental tapestry, made from raw linen fibres, offers a soft, organic presence, while her smaller works showcase linen’s many textures and volumes, elevating its rawness into a sophisticated art form.

A marvel of advanced craftsmanship, the unique Nm110 yarn is also presented, the finest linen yarn ever produced. This exclusive yarn is renowned for its exceptional fineness, with one kilogram able to cover a distance of 110 kilometres, embodying Loro Piana’s relentless pursuit of technical excellence. Nm, numero metric, is the yarn count which is a ratio of length to weight. An equal weight of a less fine yarn will not extend as far.

A little tasty surprise was awaiting for us. On September 20th and 21st, the Maison took over the newsstand on Via Dei Giardini and adorned it with linen flower arrangements, with honey-hued wood, signature Kummel burnt red. Open to the public, the newsstand gifted an exclusive “Nuvola di Lino” cake specially developed for the occasion. Wrapped in delicate linen fabric, this ultra-soft bespoke recipe was created with renowned Italian master baker and pastry chef Nicola Olivieri, whose family bakery in the Veneto region boasts a 140-year-old history.

Embark on an immersive journey into the world of Loro Piana and discover the Maison’s rich heritage, its expertise in linen savoir-faire, its innovative solutions, its innate elegance, its exceptional touch!
